On Saturday, June 26, we spent most of the day at the river behind our house. We didn't do much, just soaked up some sun, played in the water and ate some bologna sandwiches.

Snow
Phil picked me up from work at 12:30, then we got Mason from daycare. We didn't get home until 1:20. The traffic in town was terrible. We had intentions on playing in the snow, but Mason has been coughing all week, so we didn't want to make him worse. We hope to get out in it tomorrow, if only for a few minutes.

This is something you don't see a lot of in our part of the woods.

Our dogs may have had to much fun.

Nana and Papa came over to eat some Taco Soup tonight. I mixed spices together to create the taco taste because I did not have a packet of taco seasoning. Let's just say, I may have over done the red crushed pepper. The soup was good, but had a KICK to it. I don't normally do a lot with spices, but now I know that red pepper is SPICY!

Mason and Our Dogs
A few pictures from Monday.

Playing with the dog food.

One littel red curl. So sweet.

Riding in the jeep, that was Uncle Dakota's, then passed down to Justis, and Aiden. Now Huntleigh and Mason can enjoy it, and eventually Kelby.

A little time in the barn.

A mud puddle. Looks like fun!

Lucy

Macy

This is not officially our dog, but he's been hanging around since December, so I guess you could say we adopted him. Needless to say I fed him a couple of times and he stayed around.

Rufus. He actually showed up at our house about 3 weeks after we were married. Again, I fed him a couple of times and he stayed. Phil does not approve of my method of getting dogs, but whatever makes me happy, he just goes along with.
I failed to mention that Mason went to his 15 month check-up last Wednesday. He weighed 26 pounds and 3 ounces, and measured 33 inches long. He's still in the 95 percentile. He had to get two shots and we were out the door.

He now has 4 teeth on top and 2 on the bottom. They shine like pearls when he smiles.

Mason and The Girls...

Eating a Cracker
Mason can now hold a cracker and feed it to himself. He can also pick up the Gerber puffs and eat them. I didn't think he would ever get it. He had no problem picking the puffs up, but he wouldn't put them in his mouth. But practice makes perfect. Now if he could just get the hang of a sippy cup.
If I'm cooking supper and Mason gets fussy, I just give him a cracker and he's occupied.

It also keeps Lucy and Macy busy, waiting for him to drop a crumb.

The girls are beggars.

Good stuff.
