YAY for Mason!

After church this afternoon, we came home and Mason said, "I need to poo poo." Usually we just take off the under wear and put on a pull up. But we talked him into trying to use the potty. I took our portable DVD player that we just got on Black Friday and put Toy Story in it. He agreed to watch the movie while sitting on the potty. We check on him every couple of minutes, him telling us he's OK. Then he tells me, "Mommy I can't poo poo." I said, "Mason just take your time, we're in no hurry!" So, I go back in a couple more minutes and decide to try something different. See, he likes to squat when he poops, so I helped him get his feet on the toilet seat and squat. Within in a few seconds he yelled,"Momma come here!!" I ran in the bathroom to hear him say, "I did it!" Sure enough he had. Even though he didn't sit the correct way, he still poo pooed in the potty. He just has to squat to do his business. LOL. Now, we have to get a Mickey Mouse. That's what we promised him if he would do #2 in the potty. He's so excited to go pick out a movie. Hopefully he's on the road to being fully potty trained. He wears under wear all the time except for daycare and when he has to poo poo. He goes and pees all by himself at home and daycare. He's been doing that for about 3 months now. Yay Mason!!

Christmas Card

Seeing Santa

Santa came by daycare on Friday.

Parker's first Santa picture. He didn't cry! (But wait till next year.)

Mason was not worried about Santa he just wanted to open the present. Christmas morning should be fun with him!!

We had to go back by and tell Parker bye, one more time.

Letters From Santa

Mason & Parker got a special letter in the mail this week. It was from Santa Claus. The letters were so cute. A couple at our church had them sent to our house, so we didn't know anything about it.

Mason's letter talks about how this year he's old enough to really enjoy Christmas. And how he will one day have to teach Parker how to open presents and where to find mommy and daddy's secret hiding place for the presents. The letter also mentions to remember that Christmas is Jesus' birthday. When we read that part, we decided to sing Happy Birthday to Jesus. Mason loved it. Santa also said don't forget to leave out cookies and carrots for him and the reindeer.

Santa wrote Parker saying he was glad to add him to his list this year. And how one day Mason will have to show him everything. Santa also reminds him that Christmas is a time to celebrate Jesus. And also for him to remember to stay on the nice list and not the naughty list.

He told both of them he would be by on Christmas Eve about midnight!

50 Years Together!

On Saturday, Dec. 11, we celebrated my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary, (the actual date was the 10th.)

They were told to come eat some fish, but they had no idea everybody was there for them. I think they were a little surprised and maybe a little embrassed when everything was said and done. But after 50 years, who cares who sees your wife giving you a peck on the cheek. LOL!

After Saturday night, Phil is already planning our 50th wedding anniversary. We only have 45 more years to go!!

Paw Paw thought we might have spiked his punch.

Just a peck!
