A Mother's Day Review....

I spent some time with my mom the day before Mother's Day. Usually when I want to get pictures of my mom she says, "Oh my hair," or something to that effect. I told her I didn't care about her hair, clothes or make-up, we were getting some pics. So, we did, and I'm really proud of them. My mom is like my best friend, literally. When I need to tell somebody something (besides Phil) she's the first one I call. I have my best friends that I went to school with, but my mom is different. She's the kind of friend that will listen to everything I have to say about Mason without boring her to death. She always lets me finish my story without interrupting, lol, I have a couple of friends that like to talk a lot more than I do. She's just a wonderful person inside and out, and I love her so much. I love the close relationship we've always had as mother and daughter, since I can remember. Love you mom, you're the best!!!!!

Phil and his mom. I just pray that Mason and I have as close a relationship as Phil and Nana do. They have an awesome mother and son relationship.

I was surprised with a swing and a necklace for mother's day this year. Phil and Mason really out done themselves this time. But the best gift of all on mother's day, was knowing that I'm Mason's mom! That little guy steals my heart over and over everyday. He's an amazing person already at 2 years old. When he told me, "Happy Mother's Day, Momma," that was all I needed. But I'm not complaining about the swing or necklace. We've already enjoyed the swing (when it's not raining.)
Thanks for checking in. The pregnancy is still going great. We had the 20 week ultrasound last Friday and everything looked fine. Then I had a regular appt on Tues. and I was up 6lbs for a total of 8lbs thus far. I've been feeling a lot of movement from this little guy/gal. We still have so much to do to get ready for this new addition, like clean out the back room so Mason can move back there and the baby go in Mason's room. Hopefully it'll get done!

Just Being Outside.....

Monday afternoon, Mason and I walked over to Nana's (well, I walked, Mason rode), to play with Justis and Huntleigh.

I told them to give each other a high five.

Huntleigh- 2, Mason- 2, Justis- 5 soon to be 6 on May 11.
Say cheese! (Huntleigh is mocking Nana, while Nana is trying to make them laugh.)

With their Nana! (Mason was trying to escape.)

And he did! And he must have an itch. lol!

Looking at flowers.

I love this time of year!
Everything is going great with the pregnancy! I'm so busy that I really don't have time to think about it like I did with the first pregnancy. I have been feeling more movement, but nothing big yet, just some thumping. I've still only gained 2.5 pounds, which is awesome. Phil and I go on Friday, May 14 for the 20 week ultrasound. And NO, we will not be finding out the sex of the baby!! We didn't find out the first, we see no reason to know this time. I like to drive all my family and friends crazy, because it doesn't bother me at all not knowing if we're having a boy or girl, although I'm secretly hoping for a girl, but either one will be a blessing!

Dakota Turned 9 on May 3

Mason loves "Baby Ashton."

The first thing he did when he sat down was grab Ashton's hand!

Granny Rubert & Ashton

We celebrated his birthday on Saturday, May1.

Calmly opening up his presents.

While we were all inside it was POURING down outside, therefore water flooded into mom and dad's garage.

Aunt Edie showed Mason how to splash in the puddle of water.

Kelby Turns One on April 21

Mason and I went to Kelby's 1st birthday party on Sunday, April 25.

And of course he got his very own cupcake to demolish.

Mason enjoying some of the cake and ice cream.

Mason & Papa

Kelby with his mom, Fiona, opening presents.

Ashton is Growing

On Sunday, April 25, I took some family photos of Bryan, Nikki, and Ashton. If you've looked over at my photography blog, then you've probably already seen them.

Baby Ashton (as Mason calls him) is growing like a weed.

Mason training to be a Big Brother! He sat right down, wrapped his arms around Ashton and didn't move. I think he might've been nervous, because he never smiled, it's like he was concentrating.
