JUST TOO FUNNY!!

Just too funny not to share:

While we were eating supper last night, Mason sat his corn cob, that he had eaten all the kernels off of, on the table. I said, "Put that in your plate, not on the table." He did not want to do that since he was finished with the corn. I said, "What am I going to do with you?'' Then he said, "Momma, you gon whoop me?" Phil and I just laughed! What a comical little guy. I wish I had a picture of his expression when he said that to me. He's just so dog gone cute!!

Potty Training

"I peepee on the porch."

"Big Boy Underwear!"

We are no longer using the musical potty (it's now a stool), we are using the "BiG PottY!"

Mason has been wearing his underwear a lot for the past week and a half. He's doing really good, with the exception of a few accidents. We've went out to eat, church, and just around town, while he's wearing his underwear. Sometimes I'll ask him if he has to go and he'll say, yes, and sometimes he'll tell us if he has to go potty. I've also gotten some pull-ups, so if we know we are going to spend a lot of time in town, he can still use the potty easy, but if he has an accident, it's okay. Potty training is a challenge, but we are trying to be consistent and not be to pushy. At daycare he has moved up another class, so we're not really pushing any potty training while he's there since he's getting use to two new teachers and new kids, even though he already knows some of them from being in his class previously. Hopefully, he'll catch at daycare too, but for now we'll work on potty training at home. Boy, would it be awesome if he could be completely trained by the time this baby gets here? Keep your fingers crossed!!

Memorial Day at the Zoo

Meerkats

Me, Mason, Nanny, Dakota and Granny Rubert went to the zoo this past Monday. It was crowded, but the weather turned out to be great.

"My dippin' dots."

Red panda bear
We took Mason's wagon, which he did not ride in, but thought HE had to pull everywhere. And of course he did NOT want any help. He would say, "Let me do it."
Goat
Elephant
Riding the carousel!! Mason loved this.

"I jump, mommy!"

Cousin Christina's Baby Shower

Granny Rubert & Ashton

Saturday, May 22, we had a baby shower for my cousin Christina, who is due June 24. She got several things to add to her nursery. We haven't got to see her very much since she's been pregnant, due to her being in California. She was working at a magazine company and also starring in a reality TV show on VH1,(that actually started airing on May 31.)

And of course I had to get one of Ashton while he was getting a bath in the sink.

I'm as big as she is! Christina has always been a skinny, little thing, so to see her with a belly is just weird, but very cute.
