Dakota Turned 9 on May 3

Mason loves "Baby Ashton."

The first thing he did when he sat down was grab Ashton's hand!

We celebrated his birthday on Saturday, May1.

Calmly opening up his presents.

While we were all inside it was POURING down outside, therefore water flooded into mom and dad's garage.

Aunt Edie showed Mason how to splash in the puddle of water.

A Little Party

We had a small Halloween party on Saturday night, plus a hayride.

Thanks, everyone who came out and enjoyed some chili and desserts.

Celebrating with Family

To start off the morning of July 3rd, Mason taste tested coffee grounds. Yuck! Dada was cooking some eggs while Mason watched from the counter top, with a spoon in his hand. He then found the canister of coffee, and boy did he make a face. He was trying to scratch it off his tongue.

Friday evening we had Justin, Fiona, Justis, Huntleigh, Kelby, Nana and Papa over for hot dogs. We talked and watched the kids run around.

"Mason, you have to share the seat."

On Saturday, the 4th, we headed to Aunt Debbie's, Bryan's and Nikki's for a get together. There sure was some good eating. Then when the sun went down, it was time for fireworks.

Mason even made a new friend. This little girl was all over Mason, trying to hug him. He really didn't know what to think.

GranNanny even managed to enjoy herself, despite some serious leg and back pain she's been having for over a month now. Please say a prayer for her, this is going on her 6th week out of work. She did have her first round of physical therapy today, and will have another on Friday.

ROOK!

Saturday was a good day to let Mason try to feed himself oatmeal. He did really good for the first few bites then he gave up on the spoon and tried to use his hands, which did not work to well. Check out his bib, given to him by Aunt Cassie, it covers him up pretty good for such occasions.

Saturday afternoon Mason and I (Phil had to work) met up with GranNanny and Pap-Paw, then headed to Uncle Mike's and Aunt Edie's house (Dakota was already there). They had fixed an awesome feast, especially the pork chops. After eating, a few of them played the card game, Rook.

Isn't this monkey hat too cute?

Our cutie pie!

GranNanny's not to happy with her hand.

Everybody had a good, laughable time. This brought back memories from when I was little watching family play cards. Pap-Paw is pretty funny by himself, but when you add Uncle Mike and a few others you have a good show.

Mason got a late birthday present, but he was more interested in the bag and paper.

Thanks Aunt Edie and Aunt Mary for the great food. Hope to do this again very soon.

We took Mason to the doctor again on Friday, to if he needed anything for his congestion. The doctor prescribed antibiotics for 5 days and said to give him Zyrtec at bedtime until all of this clears up. He is doing much better today.
