That's a Huge Fish!

We made another trip to the river in Alabama on July 24 & 25. IT WAS HOT!! The motor home had two blowouts on our way there. Luckily, we had several people stop to help, and one man new somebody that owned a tire shop, and was able to have them come out, get the rims, put new tires on and help mount the tires back on the motor home. We sat on the side of the road for over an hour, but it could've been worse. Then we headed on out. Phil did not get to make this trip, since he had to work on Saturday, and we came home on Sunday. We didn't catch many fish on the pole, but A LOT on the trotlines!

Mason loves being on the boat!!

Putting out the trotlines.

Bringing in the trotlines. This is a workout, just ask PowPow!

The catfish were SO BiG, we ran out of room in the livewell and just had to start piling them in the net. We've never caught that size of catfish before on trotlines, it was exciting!

Mason looking like he's about to cry!

Then he decided it was more fun to laugh!

In the Back Yard....

On Saturday, June 26, we spent most of the day at the river behind our house. We didn't do much, just soaked up some sun, played in the water and ate some bologna sandwiches.

Look out when Mason has his fishing pole in hand.

Phil showing him how to cast his line.
Italic
(Nana took this pic.) If you look closely, Lucy actually has the little rubber fish that is on the end of the fishing pole, in her mouth. Phil was cast it out and she would catch. You just had to be there.

Papa brought his boat and took Phil and Mason for a ride. Woohoo!

Redneck style. Unloading and loading the boat with the tractor.

Splish and Splash

Just a few more pictures from last weekend, (Sunday, Aug.16). Mason and I enjoyed some time at the river. He loves to splash around and throw rocks into the water.

My little guy!
