Labor Day Weekend

Friday night we headed to the Maury County fair to have some fun. Dakota went with us, and rode a few rides. Mason watched all the rides go around and around. It's like he was trying to figure out how everything worked, just like his daddy.

A little fishing, to win a prize. He won a blue donkey.

Good ole bumper cars.

Don't let the smile fool you, Dakota was hanging on for dear life.

Group shot. Mason is in shock from the flash.
Saturday night, we headed to GranNanny and Pap-Paw's for some hamburgers. GranNanny had kept Mason again for most of the day, so I could do some cleaning around the house.

Dakota wanted a fire to roast some marshmallows.

Sunday, Mason and I went back to GranNanny and Pap-Paw's after church, since Phil had to work. Mason and Dakota played, while I worked on my picture albums. We also enjoyed some outside time.

As soon as I snapped this picture, I realized Mason was putting a clump of dirt in his mouth.

Yuck! No, the dirt wasn't blue, but his juice was.

Dakota learning to aim his gun.

(Monday morning.)

Wonder pets, wonder pets!

Bubbles.

When you're at Nanny's house you can have anything.

Tuesday night, Phil's dad, Papa Mash had us over for supper.

Papa Mash, his friend, Sue and Mason doing a little jig.

I really enjoy the three day weekends, but they go by way to fast.
Oh, I almost forgot, we had Mason's 18 month checkup on Friday before we went to the fair. He weighed 29lbs 8oz, and measured 34 inches long. He actually did not get his shots because he was running a 101 fever. I hadn't even noticed he was warm. They gave him some Tylenol and told us to come back in a couple of weeks for his shots. Luckily the fever went away as quick as it came. With Mason he can go to bed perfectly fine and wake up the next morning sick as a dog. You just never know with him.

On the Farm...

Sunday we spent most of the day outside at GranNanny's and Pap-Paw's. I can already tell Mason is going to be a busy bee, when he's outside. He wanted to get into everything, but of course that's nothing new.

We started our Sunday with giving Mason a bubble bath. He loves his bath time.

After church we headed to my parents house. Great Paw-Paw came over and showed Mason around on the bulldozer. Mason sure has his great grandfather wrapped around his pinky.

He is fishing for his sunglasses in the tire.

Putting rocks in a bucket. He only tried to eat two or three.

Voom, Voom. This was uncle Dakota's when he was a toddler.

Too sweet. He's checking out the "moo" cows.

Looking at a different angle.

Some more fun on a slide.

Uncle Dakota acting silly as usual. It's hard to believe we're 17 years apart, although my mom says we act like we're only 2 years apart.

He climbed in and out of the car a hundred times.

Great Granny Rubert and Eugene came by Sunday evening too.

Like I said in a previous post, Mason has really taken off with walking. He'll just take off walking like it's no big deal. When he's walking to something, he'll hold up his arms and just fall into it. He just gets so excited. Something else about Mason, he has a huge appetite. We haven't found anything he doesn't like. He even ate spinach and artichoke dip at O'Charley's. He loves bananas, green beans, and pizza. What can I say, he eats like his daddy.
Mason's 1st Birthday is just a week away, it's hard to believe. He's changed so much in his 1st year.
Have a great week.
