Despite Mason not feeling so well, he put up a good front.
Since Tuesday evening Mason has had a runny/stuffy nose and a bad cough. We took him to the doctor this morning and got some antibiotics. The doctor said not to take him trick or treating but we had been looking forward to this all week, so we just took him to his grandparents and great grandparents. He did better than I thought he would with getting in and out of the car and not feeling to good.
Mason weighed 22.5 lbs and 30 inches long.
Our handsome Frankenstein.
Enjoying some of his candy, a sucker.

Another Week with Mason
This past week has flown by. My parents told me the older you get the faster time will go, and I believe it. During work hours I don't mind it though. On to Mason, since he has two teeth now, he tried a bitter biscuit and liked it. Of course he didn't have to clean up the mess it made. He had food up around his ears. Before I had Mason that would've really grossed me out with somebody else's baby, but now I just clean up and don't think anything about it.
Now that Mason can pull up, this is what we see in the mornings when he wakes up. No matter where he pulls himself up, after he's been standing for a few minutes he gets a little fussy, because he doesn't know what to do next.

8 MONTHS OLD TODAY
Just a few more pics of Mason on the beach.
Yes, that is a sand mustache.
Daddy threw sand on him, but Mason didn't mind.
Another month has gone by and Mason is now 8 months old. Time is flying by. At 8 months, Mason has 2 bottom teeth, points with his index finger, pulls himself up, and can say "bye, bye." He is now in "Little Cruisers" diapers, since he can crawl like lighting. He was so much fun on vacation, when we ate out at a restaurant he would talk really loud and everybody would like at him and just smile. Phil and I got so many compliments on just how cute Mason is. We beamed with pride. We had a good time at the beach, but as always things must go back the way they were, so Phil and I will both go back to work tomorrow.
I will be posting a few more beach pictures sometime this week. I have to many to post at one time.
Have a blessed week.
Love,
Phil, Brandie, & Mason

In The Swimming Pool
We did a little swimming at the indoor pool and kiddie pool. The kiddie pool was heated so we spent a lot of time in it, because the other pools were "cooold."
Mason enjoyed splashing his hands and feet in the water. He'd get so excited and squeal.
"Swim to Nana."
The weather is not that hot here in October, so we haven't been in the water much. We've been finding other things to occupy our time. Hope everybody's having a good week.

The Many Faces of Mason on Vacation
Had some time, so thought I'd post a few pictures of our funny, little Mason.
We are having a good time in Myrtle Beach. We've actually taken a lot of time to just relax and enjoy each other's company. Also, Mason has two bottom teeth coming in. He's taking it pretty good, although he has been a little fussy with it, but thank goodness for Tylenol. He's chewed on his fingers a lot and anything else he can get in his mouth. We went to the beach for the first time today, I will post pics from that later. We will be coming back home on Friday.

The Pumpkin Patch
If you couldn't tell where we went, here it is.
Mason, Dakota, and I meet Cassie, Jackson, and Cayden at their house in Lynnville to make a visit to the Pumpkin Patch. This was my first visit and I would encourage anybody to go. It was so much fun. The country atmosphere, hay ride, train rides, pumpkins, mums, corn stalks, animals, popcorn and cold drinks. You just can't get much more relaxed than that.
Cassie and I were on our toes keeping up with boys, more so Cassie than me, because of course I was taking pictures of Mason.
"Baby's First Halloween"
A caged in hayride. No worries.
I haven't had much experience photographing children except for Dakota and now Mason, but I've never photographed two at a time. Cassie wanted a good fall picture of her two boys to send out some Halloween cards. I sure tried, but they were so distracted by everything that was going on it was impossible to get them both with a smile. They weren't worried about taking pictures, there was just to much ground to be covered. They all had so much fun. Here's a few of Jackson and Cayden.
"This is one of my favorites."
Mason tried to eat several leaves and sticks, but mommy spoiled the fun.
Thanks again Cassie and boys for a fun afternoon. (And supper.)
One more bit of news, Mason pulled himself up for the first time last night on a cardboard box full of his baby food jars. I didn't get to see him actually do it, because Phil yelled, "Brandie, " so when I looked he was already standing. I was so amazed, I couldn't move. I thought about the camera then the video camera. I didn't know which one to get. Well, by the time I got one of them he had sat back down. I know this is only the beginning of another milestone. Also, he maybe getting some toofers pretty soon, it looks like one is trying to break through on the bottom.
We will be leaving for Myrtle Beach on Saturday for a week. So, don't get worried if you don't hear from us. Keep us in your prayers for safe traveling. I will be driving me and Mason in the X-terra for the first 4 to 5 hours, because Phil has to take the Williamsport fire truck to a place in Georgia, and then pick it up when we come back through. I'm not a big fan of driving on the interstate.
Hope everyone has a great week.
