Mason got sick a couple of times at daycare yesterday. They called for us to come pick him up. Phil was at work, but luckily he was able to take off the rest of his shift to get Mason and take him home. (I get an occurrence in my file if I have to leave work unexpected.) He got sick a few more times after they got home, so we made an appointment to see the doctor. I had them test for Strep, because his teacher said they had a child on Friday to get sick and test positive for it. Even though his throat isn't red, he tested positive for it as well. They gave him some medicine to stop the vomiting, and it worked. She also prescribed antibiotics. One good thing from this, the doctor said his ears looked great.
Also, since Mason's head has measured above the 95th percentile since he was a few months old, this doctor ordered him to have an ultrasound of his head. He will have this done tomorrow at 1:00 just as a precaution to make sure he doesn't have any extra fluid up there. She said since he walks, runs, and talks with no obvious struggle, then he's probably fine, but just in case. So, please keep Mason in your prayers.
Continue to keep GranNanny, (my mom) in your prayers. She is still in pain most of the time. She will be having an injection in her hip on Monday, but the doctor is not sure this will help.

A Visit To The Rock Quarry
Phil has to make a special seat belt for Mason to ride in the Mack truck. He looks so small inside.
Daddy gets some "sugar" from his little boy.
This past Sunday, Mason and I stayed at GranNanny, PapPaw, and Dakota's house, since Phil had to work all day. We enjoyed a couple of hours at the rock quarry.
Great PawPaw Pullen was there for a little while.

"G-day Mate"
We spent the last week in the Outback, talking about Jesus. It was a busy week, but filled with lots of fun moments.

Sleepy Head!
Phil and Mason took a nap on Sunday, while I cleaned up the kitchen. Both of them are so cute when they sleep.
We had our first night of VBS at church. We pack a lot of activities into 2 and a half hours of class. Needless to say, we will be busy and tired all week, but it's worth it.
Mason's rash is all gone now. It was pretty much gone Sunday morning, so he was back at daycare today. We think he might have had Fifth Disease. You never really know what kind of illnesses are out there until you have a child.

RASH
Mason was running a fever and developing a rash, when I picked him up on Monday afternoon. He was not allowed back to daycare on Tuesday, so he stayed with Dada. We brought him to the doctor, who said it was a virus and it would just have to run it's course. He said he could go back to daycare if he did not run a fever for 24 hours. He still hasn't run a fever since Monday evening, but since the speckles on his body doubled over night, he stayed with Nana and Papa today. The rash does not seem to be bothering him, because he's been playing like his normal self. We're praying it will go away very soon.
Beware. He has triple the speckles on his bottom.
Hope this rash doesn't visit your home. It really looks awful.
Have a good rest of the week.
Celebrating with Family
To start off the morning of July 3rd, Mason taste tested coffee grounds. Yuck! Dada was cooking some eggs while Mason watched from the counter top, with a spoon in his hand. He then found the canister of coffee, and boy did he make a face. He was trying to scratch it off his tongue.
Friday evening we had Justin, Fiona, Justis, Huntleigh, Kelby, Nana and Papa over for hot dogs. We talked and watched the kids run around.

On Saturday, the 4th, we headed to Aunt Debbie's, Bryan's and Nikki's for a get together. There sure was some good eating. Then when the sun went down, it was time for fireworks.
Mason even made a new friend. This little girl was all over Mason, trying to hug him. He really didn't know what to think.

Catching Up
A couple of weeks ago, on June 20, I assisted Sarah B. Gilliam with a wedding. Mason got to spend the afternoon with Aunt Debbie, Bryan and Nikki.
Fun time baling and hauling straw.
