Memorial Day Party

Our Saturday started off with some biscuits and jelly. Messy!

Then we headed to our friends, Shirley and Doug's for their annual Memorial Day celebration. We enjoyed good food, good fun, and corn hole.

A little grass on his watermelon.

These two boys belong to a guy that works with Phil. They were just to cute not to post.

Mason and Gavin met for the first time last year, when neither one could even sit up, now look at them. Gavin is about 17 months old.

We took Dakota with us to join in the fun.

Doug and Shirley have the best view from their back yard.

Shirley keeping the boys happy.

Mason enjoying some cake.

They just didn't understand the rules of corn hole.

Gavin's mom, Corbin, playing a round of corn hole. This game is so fun. I've asked Phil to build us a set so we can play any time.

Smoked ribs.

When we got back to GranNanny and Pap-Paw's, Dakota jumped on the lawn mower.

Then GranNanny and Mason made a couple of rounds.

Mine and Phil's calf. Isn't she a beautiful color. We're thinking of keeping her for Mason to keep.

On the Farm...

Sunday we spent most of the day outside at GranNanny's and Pap-Paw's. I can already tell Mason is going to be a busy bee, when he's outside. He wanted to get into everything, but of course that's nothing new.

We started our Sunday with giving Mason a bubble bath. He loves his bath time.

After church we headed to my parents house. Great Paw-Paw came over and showed Mason around on the bulldozer. Mason sure has his great grandfather wrapped around his pinky.

He is fishing for his sunglasses in the tire.

Putting rocks in a bucket. He only tried to eat two or three.

Voom, Voom. This was uncle Dakota's when he was a toddler.

Too sweet. He's checking out the "moo" cows.

Looking at a different angle.

GranNanny & Mason

Some more fun on a slide.

Uncle Dakota acting silly as usual. It's hard to believe we're 17 years apart, although my mom says we act like we're only 2 years apart.

He climbed in and out of the car a hundred times.

Great Granny Rubert and Eugene came by Sunday evening too.

Like I said in a previous post, Mason has really taken off with walking. He'll just take off walking like it's no big deal. When he's walking to something, he'll hold up his arms and just fall into it. He just gets so excited. Something else about Mason, he has a huge appetite. We haven't found anything he doesn't like. He even ate spinach and artichoke dip at O'Charley's. He loves bananas, green beans, and pizza. What can I say, he eats like his daddy.
Mason's 1st Birthday is just a week away, it's hard to believe. He's changed so much in his 1st year.
Have a great week.
